- Course refers to specific classes offered by academic centers, public health agencies, emergency management agencies and other organizations.

- Workbook refers to a resource guide that is intended to provide guiding principles, recommendations and resources to assist development, planning and delivery of effective services. Workbooks are often targeted for planners, responders and service providers.
