This presentation was originally prepared for the Emergency Management Summit in Washington, D.C., February 5, 2008.  It provides an overview of persisting disparities in racially and ethnically diverse communities across all phases of an emergency.  The presentation identifies current lagging efforts in eliminating these disparities and the initiatives and research programs of the Center for Health Equality and USDHHS Office of Minority Health.
