It is imperative that emergency management in a multicultural society meet the specific and challenging needs of ALL members of our community, through the provision of a responsive and inclusive service. These guidelines will provide you with key tools to assist in meeting these needs. Although these guidelines can assist managers in tailoring their service provision, ultimately the success of any program will also depend on the active involvement and participation of the particular Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. These guidelines are targeted to: Emergency managers and planners, involved in all levels and phases of emergency management, prevention, preparedness, response and recovery; Emergency service providers; Supporting community organizations; Commonwealth, State/Territory and Local government authorities; Private sector organizations; and Others as appropriate.
