Description:

The Fourth National Conference on Quality Healthcare for Culturally Diverse Populations held a workshop focusing on cultural and linguistic competence in emergency preparedness.  This resource provides abstracts for the two presentations made at the Workshop.  The first presentation is entitled "Improving Primary Care Emergency Preparedness and Integrating Community Needs to Strengthen Response Capabilities" and the second presentation is entitled "Addressing Cultural and Linguistic Diversity in Community-Wide Emergency Preparedness Planning: Joint Commission Initiatives".
