This presentation was originally prepared for the American Management Association’s Primary Care Emergency Management, Demonstration Project Learning Session in New York City, N.Y., on January 12, 2005.  It provides an overview of the importance of integrating effective communication and collaboration with racially/ethnically diverse residents into Emergency Preparedness/Bioterrorism (EP/B) planning and action.  It also reviews the points of opportunity for improving EP/B efforts for diverse communities.
