| Description: | The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) received a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to develop recommendations on how to protect at-risk populations, such as those which are culturally isolated or have limited English proficiency (LEP), during an influenza pandemic. An advisory panel of national experts has guided ASTHO’s efforts. Recommendations were based on findings from five working groups which consisted of over 70 experts from across the United States and two public engagement meetings which consisted of more than 100 members of at-risk populations. The At-Risk Populations project has developed a number guidance documents and assessment tools which are available on the project website. |
