The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have released national guidance on protecting at-risk populations, such as those which are culturally isolated or have limited English proficiency (LEP), during an influenza pandemic. Information and recommendations for health departments are based upon findings from five working groups which consisted of over 70 experts from across the United States and two public engagement meetings which consisted of more than 100 members of at-risk populations. The document provides assessment tools as well as links to a wide range of resources.
