This presentation outlines a public health preparedness model for reaching Limited English Proficient (LEP) communities within a culturally competent framework. The presentation also highlights the findings of a qualitative study which was conducted to examine cultural perceptions of disaster in Medical Interpreters (MIs) and develop a culturally competent community-based training model for MIs. |
