Description:This website run by the Asian American Justice Center offers a collection of publications, fact sheets, and resources regarding disaster preparedness, particularly for Asian communities. The rights of Limited English Proficiency individuals and communities are also addressed. The website contains links to Asian-specific translated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention documents on disaster preparedness. Also included is information on federal assistance for Hurricane Katrina victims as well as those individuals who may be affected by a future disaster. Some of the resources specifically address the needs of immigrants, such as eligibility for disaster-related assistance, legal help, and other Katrina recovery resources.
