This article provides a number of first hand accounts and testimonials of how Hispanic and Latino immigrants responded to evacuation orders in the Gulf Coast region.  The article provides examples of why some immigrants failed to heed evacuation orders and precautions some immigrants took to evacuate while avoiding the presence of government officials.
