This book chapter reviews the limited studies available on cultural diversity in disasters, and provides ideas for incorporating diversity-related concepts (such as acculturation stress, cultural beliefs/customs, and kin networks) into future research efforts with diverse populations. The authors conclude the article with suggestions for future directions in research and clinical practice.
