Description:

The Kentucky Outreach and Information Network (KOIN) is works to build a person to person network to assure that hard to reach populations are notified in the event of an emergency.  KOIN’s philosophy is based upon the notion that trust plays a crucial role in how people receive and respond to emergencies warnings.  Through KOIN the State of Kentucky is pushing preparedness responsibilities individuals and organizations in local communities which are trusted sources of information.  KOIN holds workshop and distributes materials to promote communication efforts
