Radiation Disaster Issues in Children: An Approach to the Patient

This document is primarily intended to be a continuing education activity for healthcare providers, whereby they will be able to:
1. Apply basic concepts of ionizing radiation to pediatric disaster patients.
2. Describe unique pediatric management priorities after ionizing radiation incident exposures.
3. Develop an appropriate clinical management plan for the pediatric radiation disaster patient
and manage the case in collaboration with appropriate consultants.
